Bank of Baroda profit drops for the first time in 30 quarters

Bank of Baroda (BOB) profit drops for the first time in 30 quarters. Bank of Baroda, the second largest lender in the country,Bank-of-Baroda-Logo has reported a fall in net profit after 30 quarters. For the quarter ended December 2012, the bank’s net profit declined 21.6 per cent to Rs 1,012 crore from Rs 1,289 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The last time the bank had reported a drop in quarterly net profit was for the quarter ended June, 2005-06.
