New Delhi headquartered Bhartiya Mahila Bank (BMB), India’s first bank exclusively for women, got its first group of Probationary Officers allotted by the Mumbai headquartered Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) from candidates cleared the Common Written Examinations (CWE) conducted for the recruitment of Probationary Officers / Management Trainee in 2012.
Bank’s initial capital is of Rs 1,000 crore. Usha Ananthasubramanian is the Chairperson and Managing Director (CMD) of BMB. The government plans to have 25 branches of the said bank by the end of the fiscal. The government has chosen the iconic Air India building at Nariman Point in Mumbai to open the first branch of Bank.
