IBPS Clerk 2012 expected cutoff marks for Common Interview. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has conducted the (IBPS Clerk 2012) Online Common Written Exam (CWE) for the recruitment of clerical staff in nationalized banks on 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd December and a re-exam on 29th of December, 2012 across India.
Keeping in mind the number of vacancy to be filled by Public Sector Banks this financial year – 84,500 -my analysis suggests that this year we may see mass recruitment by the nationalized banks thru IBPS Clerk 2012 Exam and subsequent IBPS Common Interview.
In 2011, Over 30 lakh candidates appeared in the IBPS clerk 2011 exam and as many as 5.31 lakh candidates have passed the first ever CWE for clerks. But, a rough calculation suggests that not more than 17,000 people got job thru IBPS Clerk 2011 exam.
Recently we conducted a poll on our facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/BankingAwareness) where we saw many candidates failed to get a job despite scoring over 170 marks in IBPS Clerk 2011 exam.

According to the Finance Minister P. Chidambram, the public sector banks will hire 84,500 personnel out of which Nationalized Bank (except State Bank of India) will recruit around 20, 000 clerical personnel.
In IBPS PO 2012 exam, only 61,339 Candidates qualified for Common Interview with 3:1 ratio with the proposed vacancy of around 22,000. In 2012, around 35 lakh candidates appeared (un-official data) in the IBPS Clerk 2012 exam and it will be interesting to see how many candidates declared as qualified – whether 3:1 or 5:1 with the proposed vacancy of 20, 000 or any other ratio – by IBPS.
IBPS Clerk 2012 Expected Cut-off Marks for Common Interview and Final Selection:
|Category||Common Interview||Final Selection*|
* – Can’t comment on Final Selection Score until IBPS issues the Notification of Common Interview for Clerks with marks allotted for Common Interview.
This is my personal view keeping in mind the nature of IBPS and the proposed vacancy. It may not be 100% correct but it will be around this score only. Please share your views in comments section.
