Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) CWE PO Exam – 5.45 lakh people took the written test, result are expected by October, 2012.
Vacancies in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs)/ Gramin Banks may come as a welcome respite for the country’s depressed job market as leading hiring and staffing consultants warned the number of new job offerings may shrink by 2-5 per cent next quarter in the face of a slowing economic growth. Nearly 1.3 million people have shown interest to serve as officers and clerks with rural bankers even as hiring demand from private companies shrunk 30 per cent during April to June, pushing the Indian job market to an 18-month low.
Regional Rural Banks are on a hiring spree as they expand their networks by 10 per cent every year. Primary estimate suggests the 82 RRBs will absorb about 10,000 people this financial year.
“Youngsters are keen to join RRBs, as 20 per cent of them can go to sponsor banks on deputation for three years under a new government directive,” said SN Tripathi, chairman of Kashi Gomti Samyut Gramin Bank in Uttar Pradesh. “This will add value to their CV,” he said. IBPS is expected to announce the result next month and RRBs will conduct interviews in December.
IBPS conducted the first- ever common written test for officers on behalf of Regional Rural Bank (RRBs) last Sunday. “The final stage of hiring is expected to start in January next year,” IBPS director Anup Sankar Bhattacharya said.
