Mohan Tanksale Elected as New IBA Chief Executive

Mohan Tanksale Elected as New Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) Chief Executive.

Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) has appointed Mohan V Tanksale as its chief executive.Mohan Tanksale

“Tanksale, who retired from Central Bank earlier this year, will take over as the IBA chief executive from today, that is December 1, 2013,” Indian Banking Association said in a statement.

Prior to his appointment as Chairman & Managing Director, Central Bank of India Shri Tanksale was the Executive Director, Punjab National Bank since March 2009. Shri Tanksale started his career as an officer in Union Bank of India at Gwalior in 1974.

 Shri Tanksale, a seasoned Banker having rich experience in Banking is backed by professional credentials like Associate Member of Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWA), Company Secretary (Inter) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, CAIIB, a Bachelor degree of Science and a Master degree in English literature.

The appointment follows the incumbent K Ramakrishnan retiring on Saturday after a five-year tenure.
