Outlook for Indian Banking System Remains Negative – Moody’s.

Moody’s outlook on the Indian banking system over the next 12 months to 18 months remains negative due to a challenging operating environment which is likely to pressure banks’ profits.

“This environment is characterized by slow economic growth, high inflation, high interest rates, and a weak local currency,” Vineet Gupta, a Moody’s vice president and senior analyst said in a statement released on Tuesday.
