Pension scheme of Regional Rural Banks to be on a par with other banks

The Finance Minister Mr Pranab Mukherjee has decided to extend pension to Regional Rural Bank (RRB) staff at a par with the existing pension scheme available in the banking industry.

The decision was arrived based on a bipartite settlement on Wednesday, said Mr Dilip Kumar Mukherjee, Secretary General, All-India Regional Rural Bank Employees’ Association (AIRRBEA). The draft pension scheme will be prepared soon, he said.

    r r b staff members are deserved for pension as per nit award;this is of their long bereaved demand. as aresult it will facilitates happiness on their family members

  4. Reamalgamation of RRBs in such a way that no new RRB should have accumulated loss, is the best way to give pension to all RRB staff because it will not attract share capital from the stakeholders innediately to pay pension parity to RRB staff.
