The rupee dropped to a two-and-half year or 32 months low of 51.34 against the US dollar on Friday after the Bombay Stock Exchange index – Sensex closed at 16371.

This was the worst week in this quarter for both Sensex and Rupee. This time European Crisis playing an important role in the market as investors are fearing that European Crisis could worsen. International Investors are playing safe in this unstable market as they have been pulling their money out of markets and investing them in US treasuries . As a result of this, all Asian currencies including Rupee had one of their worst weeks in recent months.
