SBT suspends Raghav Rajan from service

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) SBI-Logohas officially announced that Raghav Rajan, probationary officer with its Madayi branch in Kannur in North Kerala, has been suspended from service with effect from March 8.

Raghav Rajan is the person taken into custody by the Kerala police on March 8 and since moved to Rajasthan to prove his suspect identity as fugitive rapist Bittihotra Mohanty or Bitti Mohanty.

An SBT spokesman said that decision has been taken according to regulations 69 (7) (1) which states that any bank employee kept under police custody for more than 48 hours can be placed under suspension.
