58 Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards were given between 2009 and 2012.
Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) is the highest honour conferred on overseas Indians by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India in conjunction with the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (Non-resident Indian Day). During the period 2009-2012, 58 awards were given to Overseas Indians.
In 2009 the award was given to 13 overseas Indians and in 2010, 2011 and 2015 it was awarded to 15 overseas Indians in respective years.
Out of above 58 awards given from 2009-2012 no award was given for literary achievements. Most of the awards were given for Community Service, Public Service, Business, Philanthropy, Medicine, Science, Arts, History and Management.
