Abdelaziz Bouteflika won the Presidential election of Algeria for the Fourth consecutive time. Bouteflika, a National Liberation Front party leader, won the presidential election with a huge 81 percent of the vote.
In 2008, he won the elections with 90 percent of the vote.
Ali Benflis, main opponent, received only 12.18 percent of the total votes casted.
Voters turnout stood at 51.3 percent of the registered voters which went down from the 75 percent in 2009.
