Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard is in India on a three-day visit.

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard will on Tuesday participate in the opening ceremony of the Festival of Australia in India.

Australian Prime Minister will hold delegation level talks with Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh on Wednesday and will also call on President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.

She will also meet External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj, and the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Gillard arrived in New Delhi on Monday on a three-day visit.

Julia Gillard took initiative to open up Uranium Sales to India when she moved a resolution to this effect in the national parliament earlier this year.

If the deal goes through, India will be the first non NPT signatory nation to get Uranium Supplies from Australia.
