Cabinet Reshuffle 2013: Eight new Ministers Inducted into Union Council of Ministers.

The Union Council of Ministers on June 17, 2013 was expanded with the induction of four new Cabinet Ministers and four Ministers of State, this was probably the last Cabinet Reshuffle ahead of Next Years General Election.

Mallikarjun KhargeMallikarjun Kharge, a veteran congress parliamentarian, was given the charge of Railways Ministry.

The newly appointed ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee at Rastrapati Bhawan on 17 June 2013.

  • Sisram Ola – Labour and Employment Ministry
  • Oscar Fernandes – Road Transport and Highways Ministry
  • Girija Vyas – Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation
  • Dr K S Rao – Textiles Ministry

  • Manikrao Gavit  –  Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment
  • Santosh Chowdhury –  Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare
  • Jesudasu Seelam – Minister of State for Finance and
  • E M S Natchiappan –  Minister of State for Commerce and Industry
