Hiroshi Naka of Japan was appointed as the Vice President and Auditor General of World Bank. Jim Yong Kim, the President of World Bank group announced the appointment of Hiroshi Naka on May 23, 2014.
Mr. Naka has more than twenty-five years of experience working with the Japanese Ministry of Finance (MoF) and multilateral organizations. At the World Bank, he will be responsible for providing leadership on evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the bank’s risk management, control and governance processes.
He will take the charge as the Vice President in July 2014.
