INS Vikramaditya dedicated to India by PM Narendra Modi

The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi on June 14, 2014 dedicated India’s largest warship INS Vikramaditya to the nation. With this INS Vikramaditya has been inducted into Indian Navy.

INS Vikramaditya has been acquired from Russia for over 15000 crore rupees. The deal for the warship was signed in 2004 during previous NDA regime. It has been dedicated to the nation after a gap of 10 years, whereas it joined Indian Navy on 16 November 2013 after being commissioned by the then Union Defence Minister AK Antony at Sevmash shipyard of Russia.
