Justice Arun Mishra appointed Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court. Arun Mishra CJ of Raj HC appointed Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court.

The President has appointed Mr Justice Arun Mishra, Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court, as the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court.

Justice Mishra, 57, graduated in science and then obtained a Master’s degree in Arts and a degree in Law.

An official press release said the appointment of new Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court would be with effect from the date he assumed charge of his new office.

The President has also appointed Mr Justice N. K. Balakrishnan, Mr Justice V. Chitambaresh and Mr Justice A. M. Shaffique, Additional Judges of the High Court of Kerala, as Judges of that High Court with effect from the date they assume charge of their office.
Mr Justice Arvind Kumar, Additional Judge of the High Court of Karnataka, has been appointed as a Judge of that High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office, the release added.
