The Nobel Prize in Physics 2013:

The 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded to Peter Higgs, Francois Englert for the discovery of the “God particle”, the Higgs Boson that explains why mass exists, the jury said.

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2013:

The 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry has awarded to Martin Karplus, Michael Levitt, Arieh Warshel.

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2013:

Americans James Rothman (Yale), and Randy Schekman ( University of California) and German-born Thomas Sudhof ( Stanford University) have been awarded the world’s top medicine prize for “their discoveries of machinery regulating vesicle traffic, a major transport system in our cells”.

The Nobel Prize in Literature 2013:

Canadian author Alice Munro was named the winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Literature, the head of the Swedish Academy announced in Stockholm on Thursday.

The Nobel Peace Prize 2013:

The Nobel Peace Prize 2013 was awarded to Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) “for its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons”. OPCW is an international organization that has been working since 1997 to convince countries to give up chemical weapons besides checking and confirming the destruction of existing chemical weapons.

The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2013:

Three American scientists Eugene F Fama, Lars Peter Hansen, Robert J Shiller has been awarded the 2013 economics Nobel prize on  October 14, 2013 “for their empirical analysis of asset prices,” the award-giving body said.
