Nobel Prize for Economics 2013: Eugene F. Fama, Lars Peter Hansen and Robert Shiller win 2013 economics Nobel Prize.

Three American scientists Eugene F Fama, Lars Peter Hansen, Robert J Shiller Nobel Prize Picturehas been awarded the 2013 economics Nobel prize on  October 14, 2013 “for their empirical analysis of asset prices,” the award-giving body said. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences gave the 8 million crown ($1.25 million) prize to Eugene Fama, Lars Peter Hansen and Robert Shiller.

The laureates have laid the foundation for the current understanding of asset prices. It relies in part on fluctuations in risk and risk attitudes, and in part on behavioral biases and market frictions
