Russian President Vladimir Putin visits India for bilateral talks.

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in New Delhi early on December 24, 2012 for the annual India-Russia bilateral summit that will see both sides ink multi-billion dollar defence pacts.

Mr Putin held delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at 11.30 am at Hyderabad House, after which India-Russia inked several agreements which includes $3bn arms deals with Russia.

The Russian president meet his Indian counterpart, President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan in the afternoon. Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj also meet Mr Putin at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
