IBPS PO Syllabus: IBPS CWE PO Exam Syllabus

IBPS has conducted the first ever Common Written Examination for Bank PO Recruitment for 19 Nationalized Banks on September 18, 2011 and they have declared the results of CWE PO exam on December 12, 2011. The Next IBPS PO Exam will be conducted on March 2012 and the Next IBPS PO 2012 Notification will be issued on January, 2012.

The syllabus for IBPS PO Exam is more or less same like conventional Bank PO examinations but IBPS has increased number of questions in Computer Knowledge Section and increased the marks to 50. As similar to the other bank PO exams, IBPS included Quantitative Aptitude (QA), General Awareness with Special Reference to the Banking Industry, Reasoning and English Language with a descriptive paper of 25 marks to test the writing efficiency of the candidate.

There will be negative marks of 0.25 for every wrong answers i.e for the mistake of every four question IBPS will deduct 1 marks from your answer sheet.

For these Five Section only 150 minutes allotted

  • Quantitative aptitude(50 questions) : 50marks
  • Reasoning(50 questions) : 50 marks
  • General Awareness(50 questions) : 50 marks
  • Computer Knowledge(50 questions) : 50 marks
  • English Language (50 questions) : 25 marks

Time for Descriptive part 60min (1 hour)

Descriptive on English Writing (Precise Writing, Essays Writing, Letter Writing ) :25 Marks

Total Time for the IBPS PO Exam: 210 Minutes (3 1/2 hrs)
