Wholesale Price Index (WPI) – What is Wholesale Price Index?

Wholesale Price Index is that index which is calculated on the basis of wholesale prices. The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) is the price of a representative basket of wholesale goods. It is calculated in a similar way to the Retail Price Index. India uses the WPI to measure the inflation on the economy.
